Dogs are known to be our best friends and always win hearts with their loyalty and unconditional affection. People are equally humble and caring for them. That is why the recent rules implemented by Bangalore government have disappointed people.
All these years, there was no rule governing pet dogs in Bangalore, but recently BBMP has put forward a proposal to restrict pet owners in different ways.
In case of continuing breach, with fine which may extend to Rs 300 for every day if they are keeping the violation after the first conviction or with fine of Rs 200 every day if people continue to breach the by-law even after getting a notice from the commissioner.
How People React?
People are not happy with the new rules that mandate licensing of dogs and puts limits on the number of pets in-house and apartments. After body issues, new regulations on Monday, dog lovers and owners have taken to social media to protest agonist the rule with hash tag #notwithoutmydog.
Dog lover from the whole city came together showing their anger. A solidarity meeting was held at the Dog park of Cubbon Park last Sunday to put down their feet against the new rule. About 600 people participated in the event called ‘Show of Solidarity for #NotWithoutMyDog’.
